Apologies for the long break without posting any updates, I've had a lot of personal stuff come up recently but hopefully all that is over now.
I just submitted the tourist visa application form a few hours ago (I filled it out originally a while ago but had to revise a few things before sending).
I'm currently planning on flying there in August since I have a relative who'll be travelling there for business reasons at the same time as me which is a huge coincidence lol. Hopefully everything goes through smoothly.
I'm sort of busy at the moment and have work in less than a hour so I'll be sure to reply to other posts later. (´

Enjoy your stay. But don’t expect everyone can speak or understand English. However, depending on how developed a city is, the likelihood of having a passing by at least know what you are saying is higher if the city is more developed. Don’t be afraid to ask for help from the Police if you need any kind of help, they are highly likely to understand and speak English and they aren’t like the American counterparts, their MO is always putting people in need in the first place, doesn’t matter if you are citizen or not. China is a huge country, it worths multiple visits for different places and different seasons, from developed urban wonders to countryside (albeit usually too underdeveloped for foreign travelers’ taste on first visit) fair-views. Your planned route is great for a first run, getting acquainted with modern China. If you find yourself welcomed and comfortable with your stay, I recommend you to pay more visits for there’re many more hidden gems to discover. I personally recommend you to visit Chongqing and Sichuan Province, both provide the modern China urban landmarks and natural wonders for foreigners to experience.
